    For a fixed blade, I'd pick a Strider or Chris Reeve. I dislike paracord grips. Of course, you should pick what works for you.

    The only fixed blade I own is a Strider DB-L.

    For all around versatility, Chris Reeve Project 1 all the way.
    You can use it for chopping, hammering, and as a makeshift spear when the end cap is removed and a stick is inserted into the hollow handle.
