Is speedfeed really that crappy?

Got a basic 870 stock, and LE forend for my 870. The rear stock has mold lines all over it, fits the receiver like crap, the recoil pad fits the stock like shit, ect.



The forend will not allow the nut to screw onto the forend tube. The nut goes in but wont thread onto the tube. The way the stock aligns the tube to the nut its impossible for the nut to thread on.



Is there a QUALITY set of synthetic stocks out there? Its really just an old beater gun I got in the 90's that Im trying to spruce up a little bit. I also got a Scattergun 2 round extension, a Vang Comp SS follower, ect. All I want is a basic stock that isn't a POS. I thought speedfeed was one of the better ones out there...?

I have six and none of them are like what you are describing. Perhaps you got a lemon or perhaps their QC is declining. They are owned by BAE systems and I have always had excellent CS from BAE. I would contact them and I imagine they will make it right.

Definetely give Speedfeed a call. As indicated before, I prefer Hogues, but I've never seen or handled a Speedfeed anywhere near that crappy.

Personally I am partial to the hogue over molded line. I find they give great fit and finish as well as increased dexterity with the SG.

Damn, I guess Safariland has let them slide some.
I would call Safariland/Speedfeed and tell them "It is a POS, and it stinketh." Those pics are probably the worst stock I've seen from what is supposed to be a top line manufacturer. Hell, I've seen ATIs that didn't look that bad.
None of the Speedfeeds that I've had have looked like that.
See if they will replace it.
