Best SHTF/SD ammo around $.50 a round. Bonded if available?

The title says it all, I would like something bonded if available. Gun is 16" 1/7 twist.

    Thanks

You should probably go find the Terminal Ballistics forum on here.... all your answers are there.

There's one for 5.56 Duty Loads by Doc GKR.... Next time check the site, and then use the search function.

The only bonded load even close to that price range would be the 55 or 64 gr Gold Dots.

I didn't realize Doc provided pricing information in his stickied threads.

Once you find out an ammo type, it's generally fairly easy to locate pricing. You were given type in the post immediately above your most recent submission.
    Thank you.

So easy, that none of your links provide pricing for available bonded 5.56........

You will find that bonded 5.56 is typically expensive and RARE.

I would suggest looking at the SPEER 24448. It is a .223, but is bonded and one of the best loads out there. It is what we now use in our HD gun.

The only bonded .223 I have found is Federal Fusion 62gr, Remington Core-Loct 62gr, and Speer Gold Dot 64gr.

Remingtonn surprisingly enough is not stocked in stores around here (in .223). Fusion and the Remington can be had for at sportsmansguide. C4IGrant has some .223 62gr Gold Dot. 5.56 Gold Dot is nowhere.

They're all good ammo, but I'd be partial to the Gold Dot because of the lead exposure at the tip is very small.

    Winchester does produce a Power-Point bonded 64gr but I haven't seen it.

eta: I doubt you'll find any bonded .223 for .50c a round. More like .90 minimum. Now I happened to procure 160rnds of gold dot for 90$, but don't expect that to happen to you often. Interestingly enough the zero for the 64gr Win PP and the Gold Dot are different.
