Surprisingly I find that I prefer the Shield grip over my Compact. I think it's due to the fact that the back strap of the Shield fills my hand more to the bottom than the Compact does.

I completely agree with you. I HATE the M&P compact, I hate how it handles, and how it shoots and feels in the hand. I love the full-size and I love the Shield. Feels so much more natural.

I felt that way till I undercut the trigger guard, now the compact feels as good as the full size & Shield.
