Still pretty tight, but getting better. Thanks for the recommendation.

Mine was extremely tight when I first got it. I had to open up the mouth a tad to get it acceptably loose. It was so tight when I first got it that it was IMPOSSIBLE to remove the pistol by trying to draw it from the holster. I literally had to pry it out. After that, I stretched the mouth slightly and it was MUCH better and the break in process was normal.

I figure a 1917 also qualifies as a M&P. The barrel is chopped to 3 1/4" and the grips are elkhorn.

Nice! Where did you get the threaded barrel? I ask because your slide does not have "Spec Ops" printed on its side.
