First off the double click to lock is unsafe. An EDC knife needs to lock on the first click, IMHO this knife is very unsafe, especially for tactical/military use.

You state they are being carried by around 140 troops overseas, at $300-$500 I am pretty sure they have been donated because this isn't really in the budget for most .mil guys. Most .mil will carry a knife that other .mil guys carry, NSN issued, or the tried and true available at the PX or clothing sales.

I just hear a lot of hype and not much proof or reviews from the other end users.

Sure a thick blade is great, I give that a thumbs up. But kewl (cool) patterns mean little in such a knife. The pocket clip is huge and obtrusive as well, it will chew your hand up with repeated heavy use.

You sound more like a fan than a serious end user reviewer.

The first click is nothing more than the ball detent. It has nothing to do with the lock up. Looks like a nice blade...pivot seems small for beefy knife but whatever...wonder who does their heat treat.

well my friend, you sound like something yourself....I'll let you define it.

Troops carry them, they buy them. END OF STORY. Dont believe me? Just want to poop on my thread. That's fine. But do yourself a favor and ASK THE MAKER!!!!!!! Do you have the stones?

As I said, you missed it because you were too busy passing judgement......There is one lock, the first click is the ball detent disengaging from the tang.

I wont bother to reply to the other absurd remarks about the clip and liner texturing.

Honestly, I am new to forums. I have to say from what I have seen, people come on forums to talk trash and put people down, not build a community.

    Have a nice day!

Three Sisters Forge, also a triple cryo quench. Thanks for clearing up the confusion over the "double lock"........

Jim had a "lefty" version and I picked it up! good LE discount and Jim was excellent to work with. No complaints

Grind height on that thick of stock means less cut and more pressure to use. Thats my biggest gripe when someone thinks "Beefy" means great hardcore user. Id like it better if it were thinner stock and with thinner frame but added micarta or G10 to beef up the handle feel.

Tip seems a little rounded also.

Not dogging it just seems like it could be refined and made into a better overall design and less clunky.

I would agree. I have no use for a blade that thick on any folder.

What tasks does this blade excel at that make it "bad ass"?

Damn guys! Not everyone has the same needs in a knife. There are those that need a beefy/stout blade for their intended use. Some require or like tantos, drop points, on and on it goes. If it's geared toward military and LE types, I get it.

Seems like this knife is geared toward users who might abuse/break lesser knives. No different than Striders, Crusader Forge, Emersons. I use a blade for way more than just cutting. I appreciate a thick spine and a stout tip. Sometimes that shit is needed.

its just feedback msap. I always do the abuse tests on my 1/8" stock knives and they pass.
Also, still think the grind height should be higher or use thinner stock.

Expect feedback when someone says its best thing I ever had, it rocks, blah blah.

I have had guys slam my BoreSight Solutions Glocks in posts that was their opinion. I was giving feedback on what I know works and Striders arent this thick. Now Tops knives are and look it up. Plenty of people say there awesome............just dont cut well. No wonder, its a sharpened prybar.
