Vickers Tactical/TangoDown Slide Stop for Glock Pistols?

    Saw this on Soldier Systems...

    Improved Slide Stop for Glocks

I'm certainly interested to hear more about this modification, as I think the Vickers magazine release is a winner. Personally I've never had issues manipulating the stock Glock slide stop - in fact, quite the opposite, as I found myself accidentally depressing the slide stop, causing failures to lock back on empty magazines. Changing my grip solved that issue, though it took practice and repetition to make the new grip second nature.

It is more M&P like. It was shown off at a recent class and seemed to be pretty nice. I am not a Glock guy, but this felt better when going from one to the other.

I'd try it. My experience with the Vickers mag release is positive, and the OEM Extended Slide Stop hasn't been perfect- I have leaned on it and caused early lockback/failure to lock back before. I'd be interested in hearing exactly what the geometry of the new slide stop brings to the table. I can guess it feels more like an M&P slide stop...

I can see this being standard issue on my Glocks. Having switched from the slingshot method to using the slide stop I can see where this would be an approvement over the OEM one.

I'd agree with M4arc. I have been pleased with how the Vickers mag release has improved the consistency and speed of my reloads.

I'm betting the slide stop would do the same. Shave another tenth of a second, and probably provide better reliabilty.

The way it's shaped on the bottom looks like it might solve my problem of my left palm/thumb joint depressing the OEM slide stop.

Definitely will be trying one of these out.
