    Lock Picks

Hello everyone I dont know if this is the right area, but i couldn't find it anywhere else so let me know if i need to move it. Anyway, I managed to lose my set of lock picks and am currently in the market for another set. Is there any brands or sets that you recommend. Dont need anything big or expensive, but i do like a bigger handle on them for comfort. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I own a pair of Serepick Bogotas in stainless and love them. Mainly use them on Masterlocks and depending it doesn't usually take longer than 10-15 seconds to open one. The Bogota rake is the best I've ever used, much better than most standard rake variations. Very durable, never bent one raking. They are small enough to easily carry in a wallet 24/7 too- Here are mine, the two picks on the bottom right.

Edit- misread the part about the handles, can't help you there.

They really aren't that great of a pick. Need to be deburred, polished and thinned out a hair to be good. Those are from an 8 piece set I got from here

with the practice lock. Honestly the only things I use out of the entire set are the tension wrench, two rakes and the feeler pick. All the rest I've never used and will prolly never use. The set is also missing the half diamond which next to a good rake is the best pick out there. Really all you need to do 99% of locks is a half diamond, short and long rake and a tension wrench.

well i must say that doesnt help if it doesnt have the half triangle. like you said that is a good tool and the main one that I use along with the feeler and tension wrench that is.

    +1 for the stainless Bogotas.

I couldn't believe how much smoother and easier to use they are than the cheap pick set I got from a local spy shop. And they stay in my wallet all the time, with a the spring from a ballpoint pen around them to keep them together.

This is a timely thread, I also just last night ordered the Bogota Titan set to see how they feel.
