So the Caliber 321 movement is coming back to the Speedmaster…. To bad I would have to trade in my entire collection and still be around 6k short of being able to buy one.

    Platinum Case...
    White gold hands...
    Ceramic Bezel...
    Actual Moon Rock Sub Dials...

Called my dealer... $ 56,067.50 is the pricing.

    WTF is Omega thinking?

I have a SuperOcean Breitling and just grabbed up a Brietling Colt Skyracer for a casual watch.

Kept hearing about Deep Blue so I go one of their Master 1000 II. 44mm, ceramic bezel, exhibition back, helium release, and bright lume.

    Really thick and heavy watch

Nice! I bought a NATO Diver 300 from a member here. Still rock it very often!

In the same way that Wilson Combat, Langdon Tactical, and CZ market responsiveness seem to have spurred a renaissance for Berettas flagship pistol over the past decade,
Asian dive watch offerings, micro brands, issue analog watches, etc. seem to have done so for the Swiss entry level diver market.

Tissot came out with an all new Seastar five or ten years ago.
Decorated 80 hour power reserve, 23j, hacking, hand windable automatic with steel bracelet, deployant clasp, signed crown, ceramic bezel, 1000 ft water resistance despite a display caseback, decorated movement. And good Lume and a sapphire crystal.
Nicely packaged in a sweet box including a book with the company history.

    But the market remains tough,
With way more available quality available at lower than ever price points from Japan.

But still the Swiss even has some vintage icon reissues in that price range.

And, shudder, even some good robust quartz options.

IWC Mk XV "Fliegeruhr" that's an old favorite-

Discontinued in early 90's, this Zenith Diver was rated to 200 meters and was like 9mm thick.
Exceptionally thin for an automatic Diver-

Let’s get back to cool stuff in GD.

I got big on picking up deals at pawn shops or ebay for vintage Seiko divers about twenty years ago.

Along with others, I found a decent JDM 6309 from 1977, a first model symmetric little 6105 from my birth year, and a 2nd model proof/proof era 6105.

When Jack at IWW was first staring out I sent those and a handful of other vintage Seikos for relume, crystals, service, gaskets, etc.
About fifteen years ago when they were all ready I got to go see his shop and pick them up in person.

Like a handful of other watches, these been on my wrist on OEF, OIF, etc. and at least on a few objectives.
So when they get passed on to kids or grandkids they have some history. Very few things can be passed on and used for a hundred years like knives and automatic watches. Still looking good in my opinion.
