I agree I will be buying one to see if it works and then if its good one more as a spare. I don't need a ton of these things. One for three gun and one for patrol would be great.

If they bear out to be a good product, I will purchase one. The advantage of having 60 rounds reliably fed into the rifle without a mag change, within the same length envelope as a regular 30 rd mag is worth the cost IMO. I had a C-Beta thinking it would be good for prone work, but sold it after realizing it was just too heavy, bulky and complicated to be worth using.

    Just watched SF videos.

I can already see the problem with 100rd. See the guy with 100rd was holding his rifle side ways when he was laying down?

    I guess 60rd is better.

I have seen 100 round beta mags (I have owned 2) cost people matches on three separate occasions. These mags are way too finicky to trust. The Surefire's look much more reliable.
You can buy what you want but for three gunners and for real world users they offer a lot of advantages over just being cool.

So when are they going to develop a Redi-Mod to fit the Surefire 100 rounder?

You don't have to me an 02/07 or a C3 dealer to legally use them. However, they have to be used in a Title II firearm. My Beta-C is perfectly legal in my SBR, for example.

I agree. Pretty easy to crack feed towers on them (I suspect that's the reason they're replaceable).

Fun range toy though, especially through an M16

I think you need to go back and read serious analysis of WWII small arms.

The BAR was an effective weapon but not particularly in any one role. It was the bastard sword of the 20th century. Too heavy to be Joe Snuffy's. rifle Not enough magazine capacity and no barrel quick change therefor not being a viable support weapon. Compared to a weapon widely issued to the Heer, the MG42 (and even the M1919), the BAR was completely inadequate as a support weapon.

Also, I'm not sure how the PK relates to magazine fed support weapons being "fail". I believe you must be confusing it with the magazine fed RPK and RPK-74.
