Beautiful gun. A clean slide version of this pistol would easily be among my favorite Centennial offerings -- if not the top contender to date. It exhibits all of the attention to detail and mechanical refinement that we've come to expect from the industry leader, and represents what most would consider the best of the best where 1911 developments of the past century are concerned. It is doubtless an exceptional pistol, and certainly worthy of the occasion.

I can't speak with quite the same enthusiasm where the slide treatment is concerned, but those thoughts are my own, and I'm confident that the core constituency will embrace these pistols quickly.
