Thanks for re-posting. I made sure to get it into my own bookmarks this time. That 16" DD lightweight middy sure looks tempting, doesn't it?

    Did somebody say MRP???

I actually have thought about buying the DD pencil but up til recently it came with the conversion work done but was missing the GB, and gas tube. Now I see they are complete barrel assembles which makes them drop in ready.

Thanks allot I want to see what the chances of a 30AAC are. I have a DD light weight rifle I built for my wife about 5 months ago its awsome. I have been thinking of getting the 16" barrel of my MRP recontoured under the handguard or having is golfballed.

The only barrel option I will ever look to get outside of the proprietary Rock MRP barrels would be a 6520 type pencil profile since there is not a LW 14.5" or 16" CL model in the lineup.

I have thought many times about getting adco to reprofile a 16" CL to the min. which is a shade under .70" IIrc. The reason I never did is that I just would hate to stomach a $350 loss if I get to tweeking to much on a barrel and lose the harmonic's from it and degrade the accuracy. That is why I believe this small amt. of machine work on these conversions make them ideal for finding a LW midlength barrel solution for the MRP chassis's w/o hacking up a perfectly fine barrel to begin with.

I hate to link the thread below and thought about just PMing u the thread however others will find it very useful if they are researching these conversions....as this is the best source of info and it was the original source of info. Sucky thing is it's on the damn kiddie site

It has exactly what your requested in terms of 300blk info....

Don't need to be poking fun at the other site Trident. Really miss all the feed back you always put in the MRP pic thread. Your one of the reasons I want a LMT MRP so bad.

As far as the barrel conversions go I think a 300 Blackout in about a 12.5" barrel converted to work with the MRP would be sweet.

Good god thats alot of great info there. I would just buy the 12" and be done with it but I live in a COMMIE state.

The light weight rifle I built for the wife is worth it the DD barrel is to light it feels like a toy.
