    Benchmade Nim Cub II

I just bought a Benchmade Nim Cub II.

It's a great knife, but the sheath is shit. Does anyone know any companies who do or would make a custom kydex sheath for it?

    I appreciate any leads.

I can't recommend any, but I'll bet if you search bladeforums, you will get some pics and good recommendations. It may cost you half as much as your knife, however.

That blade seems like a good value.

I have this benchmade (black) for EDC. 0.37" thick and 1.88 oz. Great for EDC in dress slacks.

I have several custom knives too, but I think benchmade as a company has a very good product line and excellent value.

I also still have a 530SBK on order. After I felt how light it was, I had to order one.

Anyone ever hear of this company?

It's not listed on his site, but apparently he can do Coyote Brown sheaths as well as a Malice Clip compatible Sheath.

I haven't heard of them. When I get back tonight, I'll send you a pick of a sheath that just came from RJ Martin. He just built a tactical fixed blade for me and the sheath that came with it is very nice. If you are interested, I can get you his contact info and you can find out who makes it for him.

Raven Concealment does custom sheaths. If you call them up or send them an e-mail I am sure they can sort you out. You probably won't see it for like six months though.

kiah on bladeforums has a good rep on sheaths. He may need your knife to custom fit it though unless he has a NimCub.

Otherwise, try BuyBrown.com . His gear is well recommended.

I can whip up a custom sheath for you.

I would need the knife for a week or so.

I can do whatever you'd like and have made dozens of knife sheaths and gun hoslters. If you want to talk specifics, shoot me a PM.

Here is a sample of a sheath I made for a Spyderco Mule I put carbon fiber scales on:

and the knife itself that I added the scales to:

I appreciate all the info. My problem is that I'm out of the country right now, and need the sheath asap. I do not have the ability to mail the blade anywhere.
I emailed Robert H. the owner of Survival Sheath Systems and emailed me back with in an hour saying he can build me a sheath in the next two days.

Rezarf2, your sheath looks great. I have a Strider that could use a new sheath. Hopefully the offer is still good in a few months. I'll shoot you a PM when I get state-side.

    Thanks again,
    D

Glad you got it worked out. I am not in the knife/sheath business but it is a hobby for me. Feel free to give me a shout when you get back. Be safe.

I like the Nimravus Cub very much. As noted the OEM sheath sucks. I've broken them a couple of times. To BM's credit, they promptly replaced them without question.
