I had them visit my house back in 2004 or 2005 but they called to schedule an appointment. I had a C&R license and the local agent just wanted to stop by to give me copies of the current publications they had and a copies of some update rules and regulations. The agent was very nice and didn't ask to see any of my firearms or records. He was probably only at my house for about 20 minutes. That is the one and only time they have contacted me.

I have not. I have a friend who did get a knock on the door. they wanted to see his suppressor to verify it was still in his possession....had some things going on in his area and just wanted to verify it was still with him. he brought it to the door with his form 4. they quickly looked at both, said thank you, have a good day and left.

they can ask to verify it is in your possession, but you can bring it to them or your door....they do not have the right to just barge in.....they will need a search warrant and some sort of evidence to get that warrant.......

OK guys. Let's be nice. The NFA forum is where the grownups gather.
If you aren't armed when you take a dump in your own home then your opinion on what is a practical daily carry weapon isn't interesting to me.

I was addressing the notion put forth by Bolt_Overide that you have to be doing something wrong to see ATF on a regular basis. I simply corrected that notion. As you stated ATF contact can be pretty regular, especially if you are an SOT.

    Hi,
we have a FFL and are a Class 3 dealer. Never had an ATF visit after the initial setup when we got our FFL. Also a SBR owner and no ATF at home either!
