    CIRAS armor inserts

    who will sell CIRAS armor inserts, IIIA and ceramic plates, to non-LEO/MIL?

    Pretty sure you can pick inserts up at ATS Tactical (http://www.atstacticalgear.com) never bought armor from them but I don't see any disclaimers in their product description.

    unless you buy them on the black market, you ain't gettin' any body armor.

    And why is that? There is no federal law against citizens owning body armor (apart from convicted felons), and most states do not prohibit it either (again, apart from convicted felons). There are several companies selling CIRAS inserts and plates that don't restrict sales to LEO/MIL only....those that do choose to do so for their own personal reasons, not due to legal restrictions.

    Thank you for the the links to sites that will sell the inserts. The CIRAS just seems to need something to "fill the space" and make it fit well.
