Dude, you only have two eyes!

I didn't realize that this version was unpainted. Gives a nice look at how much milling goes into making one, versus the cheap Sig ones I have for some 22 plinkers.

    Forgot how light they are.

Got mine yesterday. It came with a battery. I ordered on the 31st. It shipped on the 4th and I got it on the 6th. Now I just need to get a mount for it.

    Mine did too.

It seem from this thread that there are many like myself that are first time red dot buyers because of the exceptional price.

If anyony is looking at mounts the DD mount is 1/3 cowitness. For a point of reference with the rear mbus up i can see the whole front post(but not the block) and wings on the side.

When i first got mine i thought something was wrong with it because i was trying to look at the dot and it wasnt round and looked blurry. To make it short hold it at arms length and look through it at something.

I just mounted the R1 in an ADM modular base with their absolute "CO" riser. This seems to be working much better for *me* than the ML3 mounted lower 1/3. I'm left-eye dominate and also use a low cheek weld. My natural gun mount is very low. If I focus both eyes on the target as I mount the gun, all things are good - despite a lot of FSB in the tube.

A folding front sight could be another approach and I have one of the delayed delivery DD uppers on order that could fit that bill.
The paint job will do as well.

    Thumbs up

got my optic today. very happy with it for the price. I'm also really diggin the red adjustment tool that came with it. My T-1 and H-1 didnt come with one. Mine also had a battery with it. Cant wait to set in in my DD Mount.

I have the DD mount at about the same price, which is solid but not QD. I have been pleased with the return to zero on my ADM mounts. But I only did that once, just as a test.

As Joe Civilian, the QD feature is not a necessity for me. But it's almost always good to see more people building new products.
I got to look at a weaver brand mount today and I'm not sure what to think. I would think it should lock up solid since they have an extra rail lug on the bottom and the wing nut has a little jam nut to hold it down. I'm wondering though if you are supposed to re-use the screws that come with the micro since I didn't see any in the package. I'm tempted to buy one at the $45 price, but I'm thinking I might be better off with an ADM mount.

Got the Larue lt751 absolute co witness mount. It is a work of art. Came with mounting screws (one spare) and tools. Included in the box were bumper stickers, (my wife took the "God bless our troops, especially the snipers" for her car, she never wanted stickers on her car before) some dry rub for meat and an opener. I was really impressed with everything. Made me feel proud with all the American bashing going on. Those people at Larue are serious professionals and it shows in the details. I definitely will purchase my AR products there first.

Going to the gunshow in Lakeland and then on to the range to zero. Definitely have to have it painted but want to have it professionally done. Anyone get theirs back yet from sending it out to paint?
