After some more searching, owners manual for the T/H/R-1

The R-1 is discontinued as of Jan 2010.

I also ordered one but am kind of worried about it showing up as available but not showing up when I searched for it. That is a hell of a price however, so I figure what the hell.

Yes. AFAIK it's the same thing as an H-1, just silver instead of black.

The R-1 is an H-1 in a stainless type finish. Made fornje handgun hunter amongst other intend users -- to match your stainless 44 mags and and S&W X-frames.

I don't think they sold very well. I know I got one in stock back in 2007 when the micros first came out. I also got several T-1 and H-1 in at the same time. The T/H-1 sold through quickly and were restocked. That R-1 just sat on the shelf. Finally this past spring as I finished my new carbine demo I was working on I decided I would use the R-1 for it since it was still on the shelf. Attached it to a DD mount and except for the silver finish on a black/fde/foliage green rifle it works just the same as any H-1 or T-1 I have used or have on my other guns. Good and sturdy and same user experience as the T-1 and H-1.

This is definitely a good value at $299. Just too bad that it is midwayUSA and not some real honest and loyal hard working aimpoint dealer that gets to help close these out.

Oh god, I did not need to see this. This might be too good of a deal to pass up.
