If you don't want to buy them through EBay you can buy them through the seller here :http://wholesalehunter.com/productli...PSC&q=M%5FAIMP

I have bought two from them without issue. They have had excellent coms as well and worked with me on shipping (work vs home addy).

I got in on the original 300 deal through midway which was a steal and the 339 is still an excellent deal.

Thanks, just oRdered one, they have 1 left in stock, I should have got it, I'll leave it for someone else.. I got in on the Midway deal and love it. I put it on my wife's MP15-22. She wants one for her Ruger MKIII... this turned out perfect cause the Aimpoint comes with the mounting brackett for the MKIII.

FINALLY, got my Aimpoint R1 back from being professionally Cerakoted. While it's not perfect, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Definitely far better than I would have done and I'm *assuming* the Cerakote will stand up to hard use far better than if I'd just rattle canned it. We shall see.

Apologies up front for the resurrection, but was curious how the paint is holding up for those that painted their R-1s. I just purchased one, and am considering painting it. The TD IO cover that came with the R-1 does a pretty decent job of covering the silver, but will still do the paint thing if it's worth it.

    Thanks,
    Mike

    I didn't paint, bought a black one. It's awesome.

Thanks, I have a black IO cover that came with it. I edited my previous post to be more clear.

I'm just wondering if it would be worth painting even with the IO cover installed.

Does anyone sell replacement H-1/T-1 battery covers? The black IO cover along with a black battery cover would eliminate the majority of the silver.

I painted mine with a high temp stove enamel and it SUCKED. Stripped the paint off and used krylon and it has held up just fine.

I have a painted one that is doing well. KAC sells replacement battery covers.
Yes, it is worth it to paint it, but it must be done right. Several threads on how to do it are around.
