well the 5s will sell like hotcakes. you could put me down for 10 right now, take my payment, and ship when you have them engineered, protyped, tooled, T&E'd, and released for mass consumption!

i suppose you'll sell a billion 10-rounders too, for all those poor souls stuck behind enemy lines...

    but why 15?

Great info and input Jimmy, and thanks for stopping by.

To the OP, as others have stated, try a variety of mags, Aluminum USGI: D&H, DSG, NHMTG, all with Mapul followers, including 30 round PMag (unless you live in a ban state). I own 100 30 round PMags, but also have about 75 USGI mags in those mentioned above. Can PMags fail? Sure can. I just had a few fail, but they were heavily used in the 3 years I've owned them and at the end of their usefulness. Anything man makes, can and will break. They are expendable items. When they fail or start causing malfuctions, shit can them and get some more.

Update, got back out to the range this past weekend. Bought two new Magpul PMAG 10/20 (round/body) mags and had no issues what so ever while going through 200 rounds. Additionally, last week I completely soaked/cleaned my BCG with CLP. That may have helped as well, but I am going to chalk this one up to old mags.

Jimmy I'm looking forward to those Magpul 10 round mags!

Now get that bad mag back from your shooting partner and try it again. This will ensure that it was the mag and not something else like a gunky gun or new unbroken-in gun. Although people will argue this point to death, sometimes AR's just need to break in.

    Until that day,

I bet it was as much the packing grease as the mag or the combination of both (a little slower BCG speed due to the grease combined with an iffy mag or mags).

My DDM4v5 did the same. Random FTF with steel ammo. Thought it was mag related, then buffer related, then ammo related. Whatever it was, after about 300 rounds, it digests everything fine. I think it just needed to be broken in.
