Barrel - $110 (The barrel is a Colt HBAR from my Colt 6721. When that became a SBR I was able to get a fnew factory Colt 11.5 barrel for $110)

Most of it is stuff I've scrounged and some stuff is items given to me by folks. The Eotech and BCG was given to me by a gun store going out of business.

Back when I built a bunch of lower tier carbines, I used to accumulate enough parts every three builds or so to just slap a lower receiver on it and get a "free" one.

Kits were cheaper than ordering individual parts, you see, and upgrading the kits meant normal parts went unused.

That included your bolt and carrier? If so thats pretty good. YOu want to sell for $425.00 that's a profit!

I probably wouldn't do anything too serious with it but for a range toy/fun gun a $400 build is OUTSTANDING.

$400 nice. The closest I got to 400$ was a $500 midlength with two mags I built from new parts in 03.

That's what it's for. A plinker/loaner rifle. My girl friend has been wanting a rifle for home defense/plinking duties. She's using it now for it. Eventually I'll swap out the A2 with a M4 stock.
