I'd really like to see someone try to use the light with that thing. I would think that handle would be a wrist jammer.

    Lightbulb

Note that it is only offered on a pistol grip gun equipped with a door breaching standoff device.

While I have no use for such things, I can see how this forward grip angle would aid in a breacher's grip on a DEDICATED breaching gun.

Note how low the breacher has to get to maintain his forward grip.

I don't think it would work to good for breaching. It looks like that about the only thing to hold onto firmly and I don't see it working at some 45 degree angle. The Military was breaching doors with shotguns for along time without standoff's, breaching rounds, and chainsaw handles. I think it's being marketed towards the wannabe's personally.

Sometimes it seems Mossberg just has a sense of humor.

I mean, look at the muzzle brake on this .22lr:

What's not funny is imagining somebody trying to save their life with this chainsaw-gripped shotgun

Did they throw that on so the mall ninjas could feel like they are holding a mini-gun at their hip?

Mossberg makes good stuff, but they also do garbage like that .50 break on a .22lr rifle. I wonder if they know that they can make money of the morons with the tacti-tool crap?

It appears that they not only know it but are counting on it.

I had to email Mossberg to see what the hell they were thinking. If they respond I'll post what they are trying to accomplish. The handle might make it easier to shot it sideways like a gangbanger punk. All it needs now is a folding stock, box magazine conversion, and some cool call of duty camo job, it would be all the rage.
