I'm no one here, and I apologize to the regulars if I'm stepping out of line.

But this isn't the proper forum for "zombie" discussions. Seriously. And if you can't post in GD, there is a reason for that. I'd wager that it is because you might start talking about zombies.

PM me and I'll be glad to share the URL of a site that enjoys zombie discussions. Of course, little useful information is shared there. But you can learn about any internet meme your heart desires.

Most people that use the term "zombie" use it as a metaphor for a future unknown dangerous force that would invade your area. It is better to speak in terms of "zombies" than to talk about looters, UN Forces, Nancy Pelosi, etc.

As far as bugging out goes, it is just basic preparedness. If you lived in New Orleans it would have been a good idea to bug out until the danger was over. There are many natural disasters that would necessitate the need to bug out. They vary by locale. For me, in Utah, my most imminent threats are earthquake and volcano. I prepare for those threats and if the SHTF, I am better off. I would rather "bug in" if possible, but you take what you are dealt and hope you are prepared. Best case scenario is that nothing ever happens and you die a very old well prepared man with safe well taught grandchildren.

Actually i got the impression he's making fun of the concept of Zombies and the discussions that seem to run on and on at some other sites.

No Zombie worries here at M4C, serious discussions for those who take things seriously...

As for bugging out... If you've ever seen massive rioting and/or civil unrest the last place on earth you want to be is in the city or any populated area. Looting, pillaging, etc will make it hell on earth.

Yes I have a home in a remote rural location many many miles from the nearest town or paved road.

Ok first of all how did all this zombie stuff start? It's retarded and zombies don't exist unless ur talking about heroin and dope addicts that I see stumbling home everynight after "coming down" from a high. I see these people online and on YouTube preparing for a zombie apocalypse wasting money on rifles that will never be used.

And as for the "bug out gear" yes I have my own all it has is some pmags, a good first aid kit, water, and a flashlight that I can grab when we have illegal alien bailouts incase someone in the brush needs medical attention. Not to run off in the mountains and hide for 48 or 72 hours, then what? Are you zombie killers going to hike back to town and buy more snacks and matches? Y buy gear and stuff just be like will smith and get a good German shepherd. If a natural disaster or something weird happens near my house the brush or some other hideout is the last place I want to be. I'll be at MY house that's full of My guns and MY food with MY family.

Sorry for the rant and fuss
Unless you live in the middle of your own 500 acre ranch surrounded by nothing but flat, open terrain, I guarantee that, given a massive civil unrest, your house will be overrun and ransacked within 20 minutes of anyone finding it. What are they looking for? They're looking to take YOUR guns, eat YOUR food, and kill YOUR family for it.

The concept of a BO scenario reflects exactly that...your home is no longer safe. All the guns in the world don't mean poop when you can only fire one accurately at a time. The home may be a safe place for the first 48 hours or so during civil unrest or widespread anarchy, but after that we must find security elsewhere. Take for example the common fighter pilot who has been shot down. There's millions of dollars worth of ordinance on that plane, but he's getting the hell out of there quick. Escape and Evade...that's the idea.

I'm not sure what the point of your original post was...but I can guarantee you that referencing movies, considering everything you see online as gospel, believing YouTube, and using phrases like "Y buy gear? will get you ridiculed on this forum.

If I were you, I'd delete your post and stop typing until you've read some of the stickies.

Well, my "zombie" gun is just a gun to putz with. It was $100 nagant and came with 200rds of ammo. I chopped the barrel, painted the stock, just to have some fun. I have no intentions of using it for anything but throwing lead at paper, and hopefully selling it for a huge profit

For me, the zombie thing is a joke, my whole family plays the zombie game. And if I tell my mother the zombies are coming, she'll come along to the range. (she’s a scary good shot with the .357 so it’s fun to get Ma on the range. )

for bugging out... I don’t get any pmags ammo etc. I live at college and they don’t like guns there. So my bag is a surefire, extra batteries, lamp, whatever food is in my dorm. Keys to the chevy and a get the hell outta here attitude. It’s mostly kept in one drawer of my dresser with my lighters, other random daily pocket filler uppers. so that will all get thrown into my backpack and I'm on my way. It’s a 4 hour trip home on a good day in a bad scenario... who knows. I'm not sure what kind of disasters would happen in Wisconsin other than a tornado or blizzard. So I'm really not too concerned about anything like that. If something happens. I will rely on my common sense, and outdoor skils.

Dont let the media lie to you, Zombies exist. You gotta believe. Just kidding. Sometimes you just gotta have fun and smile at life.

Anybody like Zombie movies? Just watched "La Horde." It was ok.

Yes I will delete it, Why? Because I didn't get an answer. Why would I get ridiculed? For typing y instead of why? I did it becaus I'm using my phone and it's easier not because I can't spell. Don't get all worked up over it guys. There is a reason alot of people like me have been using this forum for a LONG time and never post anything, it's because one little mess up and everyone goes off on you. But anyway thanks for your time.

I have a zombie killer dust cover because my sister gave it to me for Christmas, it’s funny to me, and does not affect the performance of my rifle a lick. So it will stay on my rifle, and move to any other AR I buy.
