Will stinger charger recharge an ultrastinger?

I purchased a stinger about 10 years ago and it has been the best flashlight I have owned(been through 3 battery packs), but would like to increase the lumens. I want to keep the stinger as is, but was wondering if I could just buy an ultrastinger without the charger as it is cheaper and I already have the AC/DC chargers for the stinger I now have. I went to streamlight's website, but could not find an answer.

Or maybe somebody with a ultrastinger can answer this. What is the model# of your charger? Mine is 75100.

    Thanks

It should work just fine. I've put my Stinger and Ultra on each of the different chargers without any issues.

Many Stingers and Ultrastingers in use here, and all are using the chargers interchangeably without any problem.

Now that I've answered your question, I'll add...

If you haven't bought the Ultrastinger yet, there's still time for you to consider a higher quality light such as the Surefire and Pelican offerings. If you want to stick with the SL Stinger, consider the poly LED.

The regular stinger has worked well for me, I just need some more lumens. I can get an ultrastinger for $79.99, the Surefires and Pelicans with the same light output are a little more than I care to spend. Unless you know of any that are able to produce 295 lumens in the $80-90 range. I was looking at the kinglite 4000, but it is not rechargable and is the size of a brick.

If you're looking for more light output/lumens, the Terra-Lux LED upgrade is a good option for the Stinger and Ultra Stinger. I've been running one in my original Stinger for over a year now. Just another option.

Haha, the flashlight value/performance curve has been getting better and better the past 3 years or so. You can get great performance for much, much less cost than before.
