I have $130 to spend, need help

Hey guys, I am trading a guitar wireless system to by buddy for a TLR-2 + $130 cash.

I am trying to get my rifle damn near complete, but I need a little help choosing what route to go.

    Choice A -

FDE Ladder Rail Covers - $15
    FDE MOE Stock - $50
    200 rounds of .223 - $60

    Choice B -

FDE Ladder Rail Covers - $15
    Vltor whateverthe**** stock - $50
Receiever ext. Tube, ST-T2, and new buffer spring - $65

    Choice C -
FDE Ladder Rail Covers - $15
    New Stripped Lower - $70
    MOE Stock - $50

Choice A is by far the easiest and probably best choice right now.

If I buy the Vltor stock ill have to buy the Spikes package because I have a Commercial reciever extension (I know, I know) I guess I could always just buy the reciever extension, but that's no fun.

And the reason I need a new stripped lower is because I have a Plum Crazy lower. It wouldn't be too bad, but even after hours of filing and sanding mags will not drop free.

So, can you guys help me?

If your lower is out of spec it seems like your choice is obvious.

Might want to pick up a couple different mags to see if the failure to drop free is a mag issue or lower issue. Beyond that, why not save another $200 and take a one-day carbine course?

I actually am taking a class in April. I know its far away, but I am getting a good deal on it. I'm stoked!

I have tried USGI mags, Pmags, Lancer mags, and C-Products. The only ones that drop are C-Products, and I am not going to stock up on those!

Seeing as you have a class in April (Not that far away!) and have a lower that has problems with mag drops (Possibly other problems will arise in class/ion the future pushing the rifle harder with high round counts and such) I would get the out of spec lower fixed/replaced first.

Not going to get your money's worth if you have to stop every few rounds/drills to fix problems, and playing that game on every guys $ in the class sucks for all involved! If your lower fails to drop the majority of mags you've tried that is a big problem, with more problems likely to be on the way; IMO.

Buy an in spec lower and get ammo; train like crazy and then add gizmos and doo das to the rifle after your class. In a class you really only need a KISS rifle and a ton of ammo; lots of energy and a sense of humor/humbleness.

The deal JK posted looks rootin tootin good though...

Good luck and have fun in your class in April; which class by the way?

We interrupt this programme to bring you an important news bulletin: the suspect in the Happy Times All-Girl Glee Club slaying has fled the scene and has managed to elude the police. He is armed and dangerous, and has been spotted in the West Side area, armed with a meat cleaver in one hand and his genitals in the other...

Its a class that Matt Spunick (sp?) from New Frontier Armory is going to be having at Nellis AFB here in Las Vegas. I posted on my local forum asking for an instructor to teach a class on April 24th for myself and some friend to celebrate my birthday. He answered pretty fast and after discussing what I wanted to do and what he wanted to teach, I decided he was the guy to go with. Its gonna be a pretty basic class due to the lack of training most attending have, buy you have to start somewhere!

I guess I can just buy a bunch of ammo and practice! Myself and a few friends are going in on a three pack of Aero lowers so we get them OTD for $70 each

    1/2

1/2 on lower other 1/2 on ammo. Ask around in your area to try out different magazines...style, manuf, etc...

    LMFAO

I don't always drink beer...but when I do, I drink Dos Equis. Stay thirsty my friend LOL.

Just don't drink and shoot together. PS no bean burritos' it will affect your aim when you expel excess gas from your rear muzzle.

Make sure you grab one first because it sounds like someone's gonna be out of luck! Or did you mean "A couple friends and I..."

Anyway, it's wise to dump that funky lower you've got before training. What about a receiver extension and stock kit?

ETA: ... and doesn't the Plum Crazy come with plastic LPK parts? If so, factor in a quality LPK. This is going over budget quick!
