Even if you move it back you'll still have that issue. I have that problem on my x300 that I have mounted at 12:00 on a 10" rail with an 11.5" barrel. After each session, I spray some Slip2000 cleaner/degreaser on it and wipe it off with a rag. As long as I do it before it cools down and sets on it, it comes right off.

Slightly off topic, but how much room would you need to mount a suppressor? Is it possible with a 11.5" barrel with a 11" TRX?

Certainly possible, see below. I'm hoping my CQB MRP will accommodate a 10" 300 AAC Blackout barrel...

That's what I plan on doing.

I had mine out about that far in relation to my BC & it quickly gets blasted in powder, covering the glass in a black film. I didn't really notice til I got home & shined the light into a dark area. I thought my batts were going, when I noticed how much film had covered the lens.
Before each session, put some masking tape on your light lens. If it is go-to carbine, remove it after each session obviously in case you need it for real.

    Just curious:

Why do you plan on shaving down the FSB and changing out the barrel nut to install the TRX?

Why not just build the upper yourself?

Just wondering because I plan on doing one of those two things.

EDIT: Sorry, I didn't catch how old this was before I responded...

Cost of an assembled, but nekked, BCM upper is too good to be beat. Do the math, you'll quickly see.

Additionally, if you're specifically looking to have a BCM barrel, it's rare to find the stripped barrels in stock on their website.

    Hi all,

I was planning on doing something very similar.

I was hoping to put a Troy 11" TRX rail over an 11.5" barrel with an AAC Blackout 51T device on the end with an AAC M4 2000 can.

I saw how someone here was doing something similar with YHM products but I didn't know if this would work with the AAC setup I just posted.

    -thanks
