I know that the rifle that I have had an 11.5" barrel and 11" Troy/VTAC extreme rail and there is no way that an AAC mount and suppressor would work. The rail stuck out past the tooth shoulder on the 51t mount. Look at the first picture in this thread to see what I am talking about.

It is of a Triple Tap muzzle brake but you get the idea. The only way that I can see you being able to make it work is if you used a shit load of shims. If he already has the parts then that is fine, try it for shits and giggles. Maybe I don't know my head from my ass or had jacked up parts but I doubt it.

ETA: The above is why I now run a 12.5" barrel now.

This is my friends rifle. Also I was wrong about it being the AAC Blackout.

Its YHM Muzzle device w/ YHM Suppressor

We already established on page one that the YHM Muzzle device and suppressor would work, their mount is much more forward set. I just know for sure that the AAC Mounts and cans will not work.

Ok so poking for some info, has anyone taken measurements to see how much more room would be needed to run an 11.5" upper with the Troy VTAC rail AND an AAC 51T muzzle brake for the M4 2000?

I am considering trying to have someone take the end of the rail down some to accommodate it, but would be curious to see how much of it would need to be taken down.

    Thanks
