I never bought either the Walther P99 or S&W SW99, but the few times I did shoot one I was always impressed with how accurate they were. I'd be willing to give one of these a go if they manage to keep it under $600.

    It's a double stack.

Any idea when they will become available?

My other issue with the pistol is getting used to the mag release, and the European-style sight picture. I addressed that latter issue by getting S&W to send me a shorter front sight.

Those are my nits to pick based on my experience with my one Walther pistol. On the other side of that coin...it is a very reliable, well-made pistol.
If you know anything about how their trigger system works, you can do some polishing which does help.

IMHO, the trigger is one of the best out of the box triggers available.

They will be shown at Shot. Since these will fall under my S&W LE account, I hope to get some good pricing on them.

I like the P99 but think it could use a tweak here and there. I'd definitely be interested in getting one of these and seeing the changes/improvements.

I look forward to hearing the pricing.

    Thanks

If they can keep the retail near or under $600 it'll sell very well. The high price of the P99 is what's killed its sales here in the U.S.
