I heard they lowered capacity in each mag by one round so a person could easily insert a fully loaded mag into the pistol with the action closed.
I am talking about the .40.

If the trigger is anything like the "QA" trigger I'm not interested.
The QA has no defined reset point and a very weak trigger reset spring.
Makes for a mushy, inconsistent trigger release.
Walther "AS" trigger on the other hand has the best reset of any polymer gun I've ever shot.

    Thank you very much.

Which make of Walthers were polygonally rifled? (Or am I thinking HK?)

Pretty sure the HK P7 has a polygonal barrel.

Actually - the original P99 was the first gun with replaceable backstraps. So, everyone else sorta copied the P99 in that respect.

I'm taking about the pattern/style. Obvious copy of the HK "Spiderman" style grips.

I wasn't a fan of the P99, so I doubt I will bother with this revision.

I'd like to try the new trigger though to see if it was improved over the P99. Beyond that, I can't see paying for it.

Most probably you think HK. All current HK pistols have CHF polygonal barrels. Also P7 had polygonal barrels. Early USP however had lands and grooves barrel (also CHF).

I would like to see it come in the AS trigger variant as it is one of the best triggers out imo.Two things I dont like from looking at Grant's pic is the slide stop Im not a fan of P30ish long slide stops and the rear sight dove tail still looks shallow and fragile. All in all Im interested in this new gun and look forward to its release.
In the P99 the 9mm was the way to go, I had a P99AS in .40 shooting it was similar to slamming your hand in a car door. The P99 grip was also in need of texture it was too slick, the PPQ looks to have a better grip maybe it will have a better feel for .40. One thing I liked that Walther did is they made the slide on the .40 P99 guns heavier than the 9mm.
