I always think of Trijicons eye relief estimates like SF's Lumen output listing. SF lights typically have about 10 Lumens more than listed and Trijicon optics have 1-2 inches more eye relief than what is listed.

I agree, the eye relief on my TA33-8 is much more than 1.9" and is very forgiving. This makes it much more forgiving, easier to use, and faster than the TA31 which I had previous experience with.

I just mounted the 33R-8 in the TA60 mount on my midlength goto rifle, and can say that the setup is right on. Someone earlier (sorry I forgot who it was) was wondering if the FSB on a Middy would interfere with sight picture. I found that when I was "nose on charging handle (right about 2" eye relief for me) that there were no issues with the FSB. When I went back to about 3" which also works well and is more comfortable for me the blur of the front sight started creeping into the scopes field of view. It wasn't bad, but I am anal and am going to go to a flip front to alleviate this. Also it states in the manual that Binden Aiming Concept does not work for cross-dominate eye shooters and they are right, to use this guy correctly I am forced to close my left eye before I break the shot.

    Grant,
The only thing about this thing I don't like is the carry handle open sight tunnel under the scope and the TA60 mount being so high. What are my options if I want a lower mount,,,is the LT mount actually any lower? It looks like it might be and it would be worth 95 bucks to me if that were the case.

From what I understand yes it is lower. I have read that it may not be the best idea to use if you do not have a flip-up front sight as it is an "absolute co-witness" where the TA60 mount is more like a "lower 1/3rd". Obviously magnified optics don't co-witness diddly squat, but the FSB will interfere more with the sight picture, and it is the best way to explain it.

The LT mount will be a little lower.
