    So unfortunate. Ever day pieces of living and talking history like Mr. Winters pass away. WWII veterans are getting rarer. I will be a sad day for this nation when the last WWII veteran passes away. I feel their experiences will never be repeated again in our lifetimes. They're the last ones to fight "the good war". After them theirs nothing but controversy and compromise.

    I have never met him only read his words and watched BOB and learned more about him after watching and have to say it really moves me something about how humble he was yet such a leader

    I so wish my kids could have met him as I would have liked to

    That man is one of the few people that others should look up to and hope to be just 1/10th as good. RIP, you are missed.
