A member from TOS, Duffy, had a similar set up.
These are not my images and are of Duffy's

EOTech 557 with TA31F behind it.
No guys definitely not fake or PS. I saw it while I was watching the show on video. I thought it was ridiculous but wasn't sure which is why I asked. You would think a SWAT member would know what he is doing but all I can say is WTF as well.
I don't mind being a statistic as long as they put me in the "win" column...
The OP said he saw it on a TV show. I’m not sure how someone could Photoshop a show.

glad im not a gambling man either cause i would have lost my ass..lol as far as the setup goes it seems that on top of a busy sight picture it would just add unneeded weight also.....but to each his own, i would never run it.......im interested to see what the advantages are and if they outweigh the disadvantages.
There has to be a reason for that setup.. I can't see doin it for cool guy points. Esp on T.V. when they know they are gonna be critiqued.
You'd be surprised how much bone-headedness can go into SWAT firearms and accessory selection on a lot of teams. The big teams aren't immune from this, either.
I tried this once for a goof. Used a TA01 and an EOTech 556. Mostly to see how a 4X magnifier would affect the EOTech red dot.
The ACOG did work as a magnifier of sorts for the EOTech. However, I found that the reticle was pretty cluttered for my tastes, but if you want a BDC on your red dot magnifier, I guess it might be the ticket.Of course, weight and lack of flip to side capability can't bother you too much.
On the other hand, if you get assigned to an extended perimeter role, you can drop the EOTech, or turn it off, and run the ACOG by itself.
I didn't do a whole lot of testing with it, but I can see a very, very, very limited usefulness for this arrangement. Much better options are out there. Definitely not for me.
The advice above is worth exactly what you paid for it.
