Getting that range organized may be difficult. Here in Columbia, Mid Carolina Rifle Club (between South Congaree and Gaston) is the only choice.

I live in Gaston, SC - about 5 miles from MCRC. I let my membership lapse before I bought a rifle. The range is nice and most certainly the best I've seen locally for shooting a rifle or pistol (unless you just want a bench).

Only issue at this time is that the membership list is full. I understand that there is a waiting list, may want to contact them to get on it.

I am available if someone wants to tour or shoot.

I got on the waiting list in January. In the meantime, I've been going to the range in Swansea. Unfortunately, they only allow shooting from a bench, but it's better than nothing.

I am temporarily living in North Charleston, I have no formal training and a Stag collecting dust in the corner. I figure it's time to start taking this seriously, but cannot afford classes yet.

I'm cool for travel, as three day weekends in a hotel are boring as hell!
