VLTOR MUR and our new 10.5" barrel

Hi All, just wanted to post some pics of our first build with the VLTOR MUR and our new 10.5" stainless barrel. The forend is the DD9.5FSP Lite.

JTAC 10.5 416R, 1-7 with M4 extension. KG Flat Grey

The finished product with the DD9.5FSP Lite Rail. Man these things are mucho solid.

Closeups of the dangerous end with the KX3 and PRI Front Sight.

It appears that the DD rail and the top of the MUR don't quite plane evenly? In the picture it looks like the top of the MUR is 1/32" higher than the DD rail.

    Is it just the picture?

On these 2 particular ones, no they don't quite. This one is mine and I have been too busy with customer builds to take it apart and investigate, I don't believe it will be a widespread problem.

My OCD picked up that one.

Not to Hijack but what is the run down on the MUR design? What benefits does it have?

    Awesome build by the way.

I was expecting it to be at least 3 ounces.
    Quite the surprise.
