And does reaming the chamber allow for a higher pressure?
    A reamed .223 chamber BECOMES a 5.56 chamber, dig?

While 5.56 generates higher chamber pressure, the smaller .223 chamber makes that pressure spike even higher.

So, ream the .223 (or whatever strange-ass chamber dimension you have) to 5.56 dimensions, and your piece automatically can handle 5.56 ammo.

It makes sense now that ive seen the diagram and you guys have put it into perspective...so you could take a chamber marked ".223 SAAMI only" and ream it to 5.56..

Correct, it's probably not a bad practice for some brands even if marked 5.56.

    WOW WOW WOW!!!

Guys, the upper came in today. All I can say is WOW. I compared the craftsmanship to the DPMS and there are even visible differences. Some of which are not as good as the BCM when inspecting the smallest things. The fit and finish of the BCM was awesome. Even things like the fit of the gas tube in my Midwest Industries gas block was better on the BCM. By the way, the customer service from BCM is just second to none. I gave them instructions on how I wanted the A2 sight removed. Everything was perfect. They even shipped me a free hat!!! Man.....I just want to thank all the guys here for the good advice they gave. Buying the complete upper was the way to go. I am confident knowing that my chamber is correct, everything is built to at least spec. and the thing is as reliable as they come. I can rest easier knowing that!!! I really think I am going to just go ahead and get a complete lower from Grant or BCM because I feel like the quality of everything will be that much better. Thanks again guys!!!

    BCM

Yep Bravo Company is awesome, they get 99% of my business lately. Can't beat the combination of true mil-spec battle ready parts and prices.
