    Butterfield Range

Supposed to be some range off I-10 near Las Cruces.

Can anyone tell me about this place?

It's off I-10 about 10 minutes west of Cruces on the north side of the highway. It's a public range that's only closed on Thur. mornings for maintenence (I think). Good pistol bays. I've shot the NM State IDPA Match there the last two years. I haven't seen the rifle ranges, but I heard they have at least a 500 yarder. Hope this helps.

From L.C. take I-10 west, cross the Rio Grande, go up the hill past the Road Runner (the big Iron one on the south side of the road). Get off the next exit (it is the Fairground exit) and take the service road west. You can actually see the range from the interstate.

Also, since you are in E.P. there is the El Paso Gun Club at exit 0 on I-10. They have a website, you can join for 35.00 yearly, and shoot all you want.
