+1 very good reccomendations. Moe is a great feeling grip and defeats the overpriced adversaries. Like the 80.00 vfg I have, that I don't like as much.

I had a bolt on rail for a plastic hand guard so I could mount a VFG and a few good hits to the VFG the hand guard started to crack. It was a Colt brand M4 hand guard not a cheep no name. I switched it to a Magpul MOE hand guard and used the same bolt on aluminum rail and VFG. The Moe plastic was a lot thicker and I feel better for mounting VFG to but I ended up switching to a railed hand guard.

I agree. If you are going to be running it hard, I would get a railed hand guard for mounting a VFG.

A QD mount will make your life so much easier. I would spend the extra cash and get one. Mine screws in with an hex bolt via grip core. Its not difficulty by any means, but the QD is just SO much faster and convenient.

Stubby tango down on most of mine. You may go through a few before you find the one you like or you can just shoot what you have and learn to like it.

There are many that do. Price range and quality vary. Just go to a dealers web sight like Bravo Company, and see what you like.

That should do the trick. Not a big deal for the storage, just thought it may come in handy. THANKS AGAIN!

I can store 6 cr123 batteries, and I have a MOE vert grip. I store the batteries in the magpul moe grip.. And I have a command arms stock saddle that stores either 2 or 3 on the tubes on each side. I only carry 2 in the gripcore. There is other storage options.

I really like the Troy Modular Combat Grip.

It is all aluminum and comes either Black or Flat Dark Earth. In the "long" configuration it will store two CR123A batteries. I like the "stubby" configuration. The rubber O-rings keep it water tight. I think some folks avoid it because it is aluminum and don't want the added weight. YMMV

This images should be self explanatory.

As an after thought, I wanted to mention that mine came with two attachment screws. One flush mount "slot" screw, and one diamond shaped twist screw that made it easy for quick removal with just your fingers. I use the diamond shaped twist screw, and when it is tightened... it stays put and is very solid.
