Im not really sure about the edge, I sharpen mine a lot. I use the copy paper test to see how sharp my blade is. I probably sharpen it once a week, but I use it every day. I just want the blade to be as sharp as possible.
They were pretty cheap I thought. I think about 50 for the Delica and 60 for the Endura.
The Grip on this thing is amazing. Nice and wide and positive grip

I use this as my daily.
Kershaw Tanto Groove
Something I heard from my Pappaw. You should be able to hold a piece of paper up and slice through the edge without tearing the paper. Making a clean cut through the paper instead of tearing through it. I doubt he came up with it. He probably heard it from somebody else. It's gotta be pretty freaking sharp though to do it.
The only issue I can see with that test, mnoe, is that it favors heavy knives (to 'push' harder against the paper, if you know what I mean).
Comparing this to my Winchester knife, it's a good bit lighter it seems, and about half the thickness. I vastly prefer the new Kershaw's deployment system. They both seem about equally sharp- i can drag either across my finger as lightly as I possibly can and leave a white line, i.e. cut through the very top layer of skin. My one gripe on the Leek is that the blade seems really frail at the very tip- I guess only time will tell if the type of metal is well-suited to such a fine tip.
Of these four, the Cold Steel American Lawman is the best. This is based on what I got for my money, a folding knife with heat treated steel liners, 3.5" AUS 8A blade steel, G10 scales, and a lock-up with literally no play, none at all! The blade has absolutely no side to side or up and down play when the spine lock is engaged, all for just $65.00 from a local LE distributor...
The two Spyderco's are superior in blade steel(VG10)and finish, but were $80 & $100.00 respectively(SS Endura & Police), their spine locks no where near as robust as those on the two Cold Steel folders.
The Cold Steel Recon1 is a decent offering, incorporating the same locking mechanism as the AL, but lacking the steel liners, a big negative in my opinion, rendering the folder light and lifeless in the hand! It also was just $65.00....
BTW, you'll have a tough time locating an AL like mine, CS updated the design, losing the heat treated steel liners, but charging the same price for it. The updated version is awful, just does not have the same feel, and certainly not the same zero play lock-up....
