It's really hard to judge by the size, but that [critter] looks to be in the class of "Big Mother ****er" and perhaps the family of "Stay the **** Back"

Anyhow, while on the topic of questions, how many rounds have you put through one of these. I don't mean you personally, I mean the company as a whole for testing purposes.
HP White Labs did a abbriviated Mil-Spec test (First Article Test Matrix, Carbine, 5.56mm, M4 Type)for us and put 6,000 rds of M855 through two of our uppers using a Colt M4 lower.

The 6,000 rounds were fired through each of the 14.5" carbines in 120 rd cycles. Each cycle consisted of:
-30 rds auto mode in bursts of apprx. 5 rds each
-30 rds in auto mode in a single burst
-30 rds in semi mode at a rate of 10-30 rds per minutes
-30 rds in semi mode at a rate of 10-30 rds per minutes

The carbines were cooled and lubricated at 600 rd (5 cycle) intervals.

During the entire test no parts had to be replaced, and there were no stoppages.

After that, another upper (14.5") has a scope mounted and with 69gr Fed Match fired a .88 group at 100 yards. This was with the Green Mtn barrel, not the FN hammer forged, hard chrome plated barrel available on the Elite model.

Just looked through it, thanks for the link.

    Noticed an M4 profile barrel.

Any plans for one with a light weight profiles and a RECCE profile?

Welcome to the forum, youre insight and expertise on this is needed and helpful.

This is the first piston upper to seriously interest me in a long time. My 2 main concerns with AR type piston rifles are:

    1. The piston being connected to the barrel. This is a violent action and goes against alot of conventional wisdom.

    2. Lack of spare parts availability compared to AR DI parts.

Youve already solved the first by free floating the entire system, and if this platform takes off the second can be achieved over time.

This system is quite innovative and has my attention. I would like to see more public testing, some certifications on the testing/tester materials etc., and detailed videos and pictures of the operating system/dissasembly/maintenance, etc.

    What he said.

It is critical that if someone calls and says "My rail broke!" You find out what caused it, fix it, go back and see if your rail needs to be re-designed, and then if so, do it and publicly state that you did and why.

Also, a lifetime warranty that you really stand behind is important as well.

I was sold at Shot after seeing Mike Brown do his pitch for it, and talking to Rick DeMilt next to their open view model of the operating parts moving. Will be one in my safe when its not out being used
