On the pic of Neds ...where is the pressure switch?...not visible in the photo or not there?
Looks like the standard X200 tailcap to me.

Not to take anything away from Ned, but the original Surefire 676 light mounted a 6V light in the same location wrapped around the front sight base. Also, the original wire loop came from Dave Johnson at Boonie Packer. It was part of his BP-5 sling 15 years ago. That was the design inspiration for the UWL from Blue Force Gear.

I think you are correct. Honestly, I suspect that if I had a spare X200 lying around it would work on my DD rail too. The M3 that I have is an old design and is kind of bulky compared to the Surefire LED models.
The only other thing I can think of is that if it were me I would want to use a tape switch with the X200 or X300 and Ned's mount. Would the tape switch back plate fit in front of the FSB?

Then there's the recent revision from Ned.
The KAC MRE can be flipped so that the top rail is below the height of the receiver flat top. This was pure design genius that let you mount a PEQ-2 lower to obscure less of your sight picture. It also works great to mount a X200 or even a traditional 6V light at 12 o'clock. This may be the best light set up ever if you are willing to use a tape switch.
