That is one beautiful lower. Is this the only forged lower with an integrated trigger guard? Until now the only such lowers I've seen have been billet. I had assumed that something about the forging process that prevented the trigger guard from being made like this.

I don't really care for the standard trigger guard with those delicate little tabs that can get broken off. This design is much more attractive and looks stronger to boot.

In general I have reservations about the integrated triggerguards because I've seen some people claim that the triggerguard on some billet lowers were too low. I am confident that Noveske will get it in the same place as the standard guard.

Do any pics exist of a front angle? I'm still wondering how big the flare is.

I liked how my DD lower had a slight flare to it but still retained the spec look of the lower.

My, that is the widest magwell flare I've seen on any lower...

It's almost curvaceous, with a hard to miss hole.

I'll be getting at least one when the lowers are sold alone.

Looks smooks, that built in trigger guard doesn't look like a normal AR lower either. As long as it takes small parts and fits uppers, what's the problem?

    LOL

You sound just like I did several years ago when all these billet lowers started coming out.

The billet manufacturers act like all the extra machining makes it more "precise".

I see all the extra machining as more chances to screw things up...

    It's Noveske's new Ba-donka-donk Lower.

If you looked at the link to the Military Times article, and saw the additional pictures posted here, I think you've seen ever image currently available. It really is that new of an item.

No. Speed magwells have been standard on many combat oriented guns for many, many years *Cough 1911 *Cough

Anything that helps guide the mag into the gun is a "good idea." Apparently so much so that the HK 416 has it as does the DD lower.

Neither the HK or DD are so obvious, which was kind of my point.

The DD retained the spec look, but had a flare to it.

I'm not opposed to the Noveske lower, and it's looks are growing on me. But, I'm sure it will be quite a while before they'll actually be for sale.

This day and age I see more 1911s that I would say are closer to race guns than combat guns.
