Anyone else adopting the SCAR 16 or 17?

I am assuming that since the SCAR was developed by FN that they own the TDP and therefore can sell this rifle to any and all who want it.

Are there any other governments or other entities that have adopted the SCAR it either flavor?

If so, who are they?

If no one else has adopted it, why do you think that is?

None that I know of. I think the French tested it but decided to go with the improvement programme for the FAMAS. This rifle was specifically designed for the US military palate so to speak.. The Brits tested the 17 but selected the LMT MWS 308 instead for their Sharpshooter programme.

I think I read that the DHS bought some SCAR17s for the BORTAC guys and their air interdiction wing.

If no one else has adopted it, why do you think that is?

The SCAR is a relatively new kid on the block, and governments tend to move slowly when it comes to small arms spending.

That and tax receipts are likely down globally.
