Archangel mine broke loose with no trouble. Do you think they might have mounted it with Red Locktite or something like sleeve retainer? Good luck

I mounted it with Rockset. Let me bust out the Thigh Master and do a few reps to build up my strength and try again.

on NOLATAC's thread about surefire stuff, the rep there states at about 4:15 mins that it is water soluable. Soak for 24 hrs muzzle down in water then use the tools.

Am I reading this thread right?

Is it like 3 years old? I think so, cause I haven't seen AR15Barrels on here in a LONG time.

I hope he got it off by now....

No offense but I think this should be closed.

+1 w/ Soaking the muzzle end in water.

    * You can see a white haze coming from the brake/barrel joint. I used boiling water and the brake came off with as much pressure as when it was installed.

btw: I forgot about the water step at first and the brake was on like the the name = RockSet

After some sweat and choice words I remembered a mention to use water. Had one of those growing up wise father told me moments "Smarter not harder". Glad I was alone.

How long did you leave it in the boiling water?

Not long, maybe 5-10 minutes. Kept the burner/water close to the bench so I could check to see if I could start moving it as time, minutes, went by. I only submerged 1-2" above the muzzle device.
