    Chinese Jet Fighter goes "Top Gun"

    The Wall Street Journal appears to have outed CCTV, the Chinese state television station, of splicing in footage from the Tom Cruise film "Top Gun" during an ad campaign for the Chinese air force and their J-10 fighter.

    Any bets on whether they'll pay Paramount for the rights to the footage? On the plus side, if Tom Cruise is flying for the Chinese air force, I like our odds.

    They play it in a local chinese restaurant. I don't know which language it is, but it's annoying.

    At least they aren't implying they want to shoot US planes down...yet.

    Guess those guys have no limits. Somebody probably lost his life when this dupe was discovered...oh well...

    I posted a thread a few months ago where they got pictures from a Chinese military "show" where they clearly had a US carrier as the intended target.



    The Chinese just have a lot of patience, and they are watching us die on the vine until the time is right before they make any overt moves.

    It took them from 1986 until now to emulate Top Gun. There's hope for us yet.
