The Army did not publish the report so that is most likely you have never seen it.

The KAC QD and KAC QDBrake (whatever the part number is for the inconel brake/sacrifical baffle) like the Votex also are somewhat helpful for accuracy.
Not only the issue of concetric contruction - but the pressure used to mount the muzzle device - and how the barrel was threaded will play a part.
Keep in mind the A2/A1 flash hiders are pretty loosely made.

Concentric, I hope so! Tension is the enemy of accuracy. A2/A1's do not equally vent/distribute gases exiting the barrel and thus negatively influence bullet flight.

I have one left in stock. Sold a truck load of the things.

YHM does make a MB, but I don't know how good it is.

I also really like the SF MB556K as well. If you find the VC-1 pricey, don't look at the SF.

If the VLTOR has FS capabilities on par with the A2 I'll pick one up.

    VLTOR

I switched from the standard A2 birdcage type FS/MB to the VLTOR FS, and I noticed a significant increase in muzzle rise. I haven't shot at night yet, so I can't comment on the FS capabilities, however the increase in muzzle rise was enough that I am now in the market for another product. I was looking at this FSC556:
