    .......

If it is absolutely the money, I'd get this $810 Spike's Tactical.

If it is not the money, read the CHART. Read the Explanation section to see why it takes a few more dollars to move up a lot in quality ... a whole LOT.

For just a tad more...you can get a...?

I think this really is the crux of the issue. Not only that, but if you can't afford a nicer rifle and are currently without a gun necessitating a restricted budget, for a bit less you can get a quality automatic pistol or even a pump shotgun.

I'm surprised after four years you don't know better. But, I feel the need to help before the thread gets locked.

There ya go, bro. $820... and I'd say much better then what you were looking at. That us one unreal upper and bolt/carrier group. The only thing I'd eventually consider replacing would be the fire control group because the palmetto kit is still pretty new, but that's a super easy and cheap fix down the line. Heck, that fcg may prove itself worthy. All you need is a rear buis and a good white light.

According to an email I received from Mike Fowler of DS Arms, their AR barrels are made from 4140 CM

If their ar's are anything like their fal's, I'd pass. Chart specs aside, they've put out lots of junk.

I had a very bad experience with DSA. For that reason alone I would say look elsewhere.

As others have stated, there are plenty of options out there beside that.

I HAD a DSA M4 upper. I didnt put a ton of rounds through but i never had any trouble with it (and suprisingly it was accurate)...BUT...

With that said, i decided to upgrade and go with BCM (which as others have pointed out wasnt much more $$$)
