You don't get much frills from DSA, just a very basic, inexpensive rifle. Their Nitride finish and barrels are supposedly more durable than chrome lining, jury is still out on this and its the public that buys the product that will come back and decide on Nitride. Also the rifle is reliable and accurate.
Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

Someone emailed me just today asking why DSA wasn't on the Chart. I hope that they will be on the new version, but the last time SHOT was in Orlando I tried speaking with two different DSA reps on two different days about getting their information on the Chart and it was met with downright hostility. I didn't take that as a very good sign. LMT? They were happy to talk with me at length. Bravo has always answered my questions via email and phone. Even the Colt reps at IACP had heard of the Chart and were interested in discussing it.

i feel the DSA upper is GTG for the money. the barrels are made by T/C, the same as S&W's, so they should be approx. the same. i have one of the carbine, and a fluted midlength, and both shoot good. i had some spare lowers, and assorted parts lounging around, so for $300 each i had a shooting rifle. they are o.k. for what they are.

My question is this: if DSA uppers are so good how can they keep their costs so much lower than everyone else? A market wouldn't allow the same quality upper to be sold for hundreds less.

That is something you'd have to ask them, but someone has a good business head and its good business decisions such as what you sell, and where you get your materials from a supplier that leads to a successful company.

That's the Tactical Intent TI-7. They are affiliated/part of accurate armory. I'm running one on my rifle and love it. They run about $90

Unless its a carry handle, how often does ANY complete rifle come with a rear sight? BCM, Spikes, Del-ton, DS...no rear sights on any of them. I personally wouldnt buy one, A complete upper for 275 is throwin up red flags if you ask me. I had a buddy that owned one. He liked it. As long as youre happy I guess is all that matters

Since when is it a "Complete Upper"? They dont come with BCG.

But this whole convo is fubar, who even cares about saving 100 bucks on an upper over a BCM or other good brand.

Its crap, always will be crap and always has been crap.
