    2 more

Ordered two more Vltor lowers from RainierArms yesterday. Vltor Uppers and Rails.

LMT bolts and Magpul furniture. Noveske barrels when I can find what im looking for.

I already built one similar to the above had a problem with the trigger which is working in nicely after lots of rounds.

Im truely impressed with the quaility of these lowers for around 300.00 you can't go wrong.

    Great read

Love VLTOR products. Have a VLTOR VIS rail on my Noveske. Love how well it locks up to the MUR upper receiver. supper solid and well made.

I remember learning about VLTOR stock assembly's back in 02/03 and placing an order. The stuff came in and I was completely blown away by the quality and attention to detail. The receiver extensions back then were simply flawless and stocks were a vast improvement over the standard USGI collapsible stock body. Shortly after I spoke to Eric on the phone regarding my order. I don't give praise easily or often, but I remember telling him how squared away his gear was. Not only were the parts beautiful, but the guy went above and beyond with thread protectors, sealing everything up tight in plastic. It definitely made a great first impression. Like many, I'm a Colt fan and at that time Colt was the only game in town when it came to high quality mil-spec parts/receiver extensions. Eric commented that he was also a fan of Colt parts due to their inherent quality, but being that Colt parts have historically always been difficult to come by he decided to start his own company. Great guy, great products and a true American success story.

I have had Vltor's proprietary receiver extension/buffer assembly - I believe Emod A5 is the product name - for over a year now on a carbine length and mid length AR-15.

    http://www.vltor.com/emod-a5.html (yep, found it)

    Quote from their webpage

"The A5 system is a superb upgrade for piston systems. Piston equipped ARs, areusually over-gassed and show excessive carrier velocities, which can lead to unreliability and decreased accuracy. As tested on numerous piston systems (such as the HK 416 platform), the A5 system has tamed such platforms and reduced the weapons rate of fire while retaining, if not increasing, the weapons reliability. Also available for the A5 system are two heavier weighted buffers for the weapon or shooter with special needs. Each heavier buffer upgrade is offered separately, but not in “kit” form."

Durability has been 100% , fit and finish is excellent and the stock body itself included with the full kit is extremely comfortable, provides good cheek weld, watertight storage for surefire batteries, etc. I can also say that the claims they make which I have quoted above are absolutely true, reduction in BCG carrier velocity is very noticeable although not a game changer either.

In any case, great company, great product.

Strictly out of curiosity anyone know where Vltor sources their LPK's? I own one of their lowers already but was wondering this.

My three Vltors are up and running. I tried to work with the LPKs but after awhile I couldn't take it anymore. The triggers on all three of mine have been changed out to Gisselle straight triggers the E model.

    Now I'm totally happy.

Prior to the Gisselle triggers I went to a robust after market trigger for around 45 dollars. That was worse then the stock Vltor trigger.

Not knocking the rifles they shoot well and so far no complaints.

I've since gone to the JP LPK and just ad
D the trigger I want. In the long run its cheaper and I'm happier.

    Best of luck.
