My personal opinion is that the X200B is an excellent choice on a SBR or any gun that would be used for CQB. If you need a little more throw, then look at the X200A.

The new SF XT07 turns the X200 into a pretty good system IMHO. You get a removeable tape switch and a constant on switch.

    Grant,

How does the X200a's throw compare to a Scout Light using a LU60 lamp head?

The LU60 or LU60A is the same as say a G2 (standard P60 bulb). The X200A is an LED (as you know) and does not offer as much throw.

Of the X200's, the A model has the farthest throw.

    Grant,

Are the XT07's available for purchase? If so, what's the price?

    Thanks.

After a few more dark place searches I am just not a fan of the LED's on a long gun. I know it is all subjective, but that just me. I still have my scout light on my 16in RR, but all in all I think it needs more light. Maybe more in the 90 lumen range. This is after getting pretty used to a 125 lumen 500A

In a recent search I found myself going back to my E2D over my L4 because I just was not getting the throw I wanted. I lost the L4 so now I don't have that problem.
