    However.....

    In 20 years I have never seen suicide rates this high.

    I would argue this stems from chronic and systemic leadership and force management issues throughout the force. The fact of the matter, is across the force a lot of our best leaders have left for greener pastures. This has been compounded by a wildly incompetent civilian leadership over the last 10 years of war who have been unable to provide clear guidance and strategic vision. The one bright spot is that our generally shitty economy may have been keeping a few good eggs in the force.

    What about "suicide rates in the military are roughly equivalent to demographics of suicide rates in the civilian world" do you not understand?

    This is not a military problem, this is a US-wide social problem.

    I have seen zero data to contradict this.
