Zombie thread revival. I have a use for KNS trigger pins: I have a receiver that came "in the white". There's no anodizing, which on any other receiver would snug up the hammer and trigger pin holes just slightly enough to keep the pins anchored. The pins in my receiver are actually pretty sloppy, so I'm installing a set of these so I can get rid of the ghetto scotch tape pieces that I have stuck across the sides of the pins currently.

To actually answer the OP's question instead of berate him about whether what he wants is socially acceptable to the Colt Cult or not, I'll have to say "I don't think there's a difference other than looks". They both serve exactly the same purpose. Enjoy.

Just making sure I'm reading this right... You have tape on the sides of your lower to keep you pins from walking out????
Eta: i am reading you right. I just couldnt believe it. Neither of your options, ghetto or gay, will address your non-issue. The j hook in the hammer and the hammer spring legs hold the hammer pin and trigger pin ,respectively, in place. Unless you have pin holes the size of your pinky you have no issue to correct. You may want to, first, understand how parts work before berating the "colt cult".

Try the JP AW Pins. They use a screw on both end so they can still rotate and you don't have to worry about the walking out. They came with my JP Trigger.

Both sizes in stock at Brownells:
